MIKA SCHAEFFER was searching for some luxemburgish Parkour Groups in the social medias and found PKLUX and DAW SKYFLIP where he participates on their free training sessions.
MIKA started also at the Cercle Gymnastique de Remich (CGR). MARC SCHAEFFER was asked by a comite member of the CGR, if he would be interested in starting and coaching a new Parkour section as a freelance assistant coach in order to explain the different Parkour techniques to the Gymynastic coach which was in charge.
As Marc joined the CGR Comite, they managed together to get a second hall thanks to the Commune de Schengen. Schengen was also sponsoring the Cube Sport Parkour Boxes in order to allow us optimal training possibilities in the hall of Remerschen. The Parkour was splitted in two groups, beginners and advanced, where Marc was coaching the advanced group. Many other activities were done by Marc to promote and support the Parkour section : - launch of a Facebook page „CGR PARKOUR & FREERUNNING“ which has been renamed to Kaizenparkouracademy - Organization of sponsorings - Planning and choice of the Parkour equipements as well as the initiation and planning of an outdoor Parkour park. - Organization of the Parkour Gala event 2014 - advanced group Unfotunately Marc had to stop with Parkour due to three knee surgeries (not only due to Parkour training, but as a result of many sports he practiced in the last 40 years). So he had to find a solution to keep the Parkour section going on and found STEPHAN CRICHTON as a perefct and better replacement for himself. Stephan was already parcticing Parkour since 8 years and was also a martial art specialist.
Marc left the CGR Comite but was still working on the outdoor Parkour park. So he was looking for a professional company which is specialized in park building and found CAMP RAMPS. A first meeting with the CEO DANIEL DRESSEN was organized at the site in Remich and Daniel and Marc were making the first plans. These were presented to the mayor of Remich and he was validating the project. Later in 2016 Stephan Crichton and Marc reviwed the plan again and organized a session with a bunch of traceurs to do the final improvements together. As by now Marc is practicing Calisthenics and promoting it, he managed to add a Calisthenics area in the plannings as well.
